Melissa Gilbert has filed for divorce six months after separating from Bruce Boxleitner, her husband of 16 years.
In her court filing earlier this week, Gilbert cited “irreconcilable differences.”
The “Little House on the Prairie” star is seeking joint custody of the couple’s 15-year-old son Michael, and has asked that she not have to pay Boxleitner spousal support.
In addition to Michael, Gilbert has an adult son from a previous marriage, while the Tron actor has two adult sons from his first marriage.
Earlier this week, Gilbert’s sister Sara announced that she had split from her longtime partner Allison Adler.
